The authors provide the main statistical data of the Russian book publishing of the first half of 2022.

The bibliographical lists of printed publications from the post-Soviet Russian Book Chamber and about it are submitted. The peculiarities of its production, scientific, instruction and methodical activities in the spheres of bibliography, statistics and bibliology are reflected for the period of 1992–2021.

The author analyses the representation of bibliographic services on the websites of federal libraries. General and specific approaches in their reflection in the modern digital environment are revealed. It is concluded that the differences in the organizational decisions of federal libraries do not affect at their bibliographic activities.

The content of GOST R 7.0.108–2022 “Bibliographic references to electronic documents posted to information and telecommunication networks. General requirements for its compilation and design” is disclosed, explained its tasks and target audience, substantiated the general methodology for compiling a bibliographic reference to documents of network distribution and a specification relating to their individual types, including those that could not previously be objects of bibliographic reference, is given.

The article is devoted to the publishing activity of O.M. Beskin, a famous Soviet art expert, literary critic, editor and collector. For the first time, his contribution to the national book publishing industry and to the organization of the publishing house “Iskusstvo” in 1936–1938 is analyzed.

The geography of the publication of publications available in the library of the Tomsk Public Assembly is being analyzed, and the number and share of Siberian and Far Eastern publications in its fund has been calculated. The cities and printing houses in which they were issued are named. A consolidated catalog of publications from this library issued in the Siberian-Far Eastern region has been compiled. Their thematic repertoire and author’s corpus are presented.

The article discusses the geography, typical, structural and functional features of information and library institutions of neighboring countries — participants of the scientific events and publications of the INION RAS. The significance of the Russian-language scientific and educational space is analyzed, the problems of further seminars are clarified taking into account the interests of their foreign participants, areas of international scientific cooperation between Russia and countries of the post-Soviet space are determined.

The article considers the political context of library and information education in Ukraine, the positioning of libraries in Ukraine in geoinformation services, as well as in the system of state public procurement. The article analyzes the anti-Russian and pro-Atlantic profile of the Ukrainian book market, Ukrainian scientific journals on social and humanitarian topics, recruitment and international initiatives of Ukrainian academic, regional, youth and children’s libraries.
