ACTUAL STATISTICS
Quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the current issue of translated editions and editions in the different languages for children and teenagers in Russia are considered from the point of view of implementing the principles of «cultural diversity».
The article tells about the results of different Russian contents and surveys dealing with the reader’s and consumer demand for book editions for children.
RUSSIAN BOOK CHAMBER: HISTORY, PLANS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
The article tells about the creation, history of development and liquidation of the special body of scientific and technical information for service of Soviet and later Russian book industry. The main achievements and problems of a such activity at the Central Burean of scientific and technical information and after that — «Informpechat» during 1967–1999 are described.
PROBLEMS. FACTS. SOLUTIONS
The authors make proposals for replacement of the existing national standard (GOST 7.81– 2001) in order to improve publishing statistics by introducing new accounting objects and selecting the group of social significant editions.
The article reflects the role of the Russian Book Chamber as the main organization for the development of standards for the compilation of bibliographic records, the contribution of the Chamber to the work of the Interregional Committee on Cataloging. Special attention is paid to the innovations of the modern national standard GOST R 7.0.100–2018 “Bibliographic record Bibliographic description. General requirements and rules of compilation”.
The author of the article analyzes the representation at the portals of the central public libraries of the regions of bibliographic resources of subordinated — municipal — libraries.

MEMORIAL DATES
The article is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of the famous scholar and writer Vladimir Klavdievich Arseniev (1872–1930) and his relation to bibliography. The author provides information about his connections with bibliographers M.K. Azadovsky, A.E. Maksimov, A.N. Turunov, P.P. Khoroshikh, Z.N. Matveev and A.A. Nensberg. The publication uses collection of the scholar stored in the Archive of the Society for the Study of the Amur Region in Vladivostok.
