In article on the basis of catalogs of books of 1889 and 1913 of a main library of the Kazan Infantry Yunkersky College (from 1909 — Kazan Military College) editions of departments of spiritual and moral contents for cadets of military school are considered. The comparative characteristic of these departments among themselves and with the same departments of main libraries of others yunkersky and military colleges is given.

Abstract

The article is devoted to the activities of the famous St. Petersburg bookseller G. I. Klosterman, who used the European model of book distribution in the book market of St. Petersburg, adapted to the conditions of Russian reality. In the last third of the XVIII – the first half of the XIX century personal relations with influential people of St. Petersburg, long-term contacts with foreign publishers and booksellers, cooperation with government agencies, the use of various progressive methods and ways of bookselling; book trade advertisment contributed to the constant income and stable position of G. I. Klosterman.

Abstract

The authors briefly cover the process of formation and development of the State Book Chamber of the Tajik SSR, in 2005 renamed as the State organization ‘National Agency of the International Organization of Standard Book Numbering — Book House of Tajikistan’, analyze the main characteristics and features of compiling retrospective union catalogs, ‘Chronicles of printing’ and collections of statistical materials. The article discusses the implementation of the project to prepare electronic retrospective and current bibliographic indexes, digitize the analogical printed indexes of the past with the output into web-site.

Abstract

The author shows a short description of the history and characteristics of legal deposit legislation in Syria. The article considers the legal deposit of electronic publications in the country. The article highlights the main recommendations and international experiences in the use of electronic legal deposit. The author presents some proposals for improvement of legal deposit system in Syria.
