State information policy in the library industry of Ukraine at the present stage
Abstract
The main directions of information policy in Ukraine in the library sphere are considered. The influence of American diplomatic missions, as well as American, German and international organizations on the conversion of Ukrainian library institutions into points of pro-Western and anti-Russian agitation and propaganda is analyzed. The article considers the political context of library and information education in Ukraine, the positioning of libraries in Ukraine in geoinformation services, as well as in the system of state public procurement. The article analyzes the anti-Russian and pro-Atlantic profile of the Ukrainian book market, Ukrainian scientific journals on social and humanitarian topics, recruitment and international initiatives of Ukrainian academic, regional, youth and children’s libraries.
