Abstract
The article presents information about recent organizational solutions and events in the sphere of book business, including the development of libraries as cultural centres, abolition of age marking for educational editions, the introduction of normative dictionaries of the Russian literary language, the foundation of the Association of Presidential Libraries for CIS members and the Cooperation Council meeting of national libraries of Russia.
