Detgiz publishing plans in 1934

Abstract

The article presents and analyzes the plan for large runs republishing of children’s books by the publishing house “Detgiz” in 1934. The list of books to be reprinted is kept at the Gorky archive at the A.M. Gorky Institute of World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow. The plan was drawn up by director of Detgiz N.A. Semashko and reflected the trends in the development of domestic book publishing for children in the early 1930s.
