The journal was first published by the Russian Book Chamber in Moscow in March 1929 under the name “Bibliography”. From 1930, its name was “Library Science and Bibliography”, from 1933 — “Soviet Bibliography”, from 1992 — “Bibliography”, from 2015 — “Bibliography and Bibliology”.
